"Close is a relative term, it may refer to a spot of lichen or a reflecting pool in the sand, or a more broadly to a cliff or a grove of trees. But in either case the photograph is an abstraction of nature — a fragment isolated from a greater implied whole, missed but imagined …." - Elliott Porter

About Penny Linn

I graduated from Colby College in 1973 and remained in Maine with my husband. We have built two houses and raised two boys. We currently live in Belfast, Maine. Upon retirement I made the decision to return to photography, an interest I had pursued in high school and college. I have studied photography at Maine Media Workshops and with Belfast photographer, Neal Parent.
